We're not all the same...

Introducing Hybrid Quarters [HQ], the new facility dedicated to all things health, fitness and Hyrox in Exeter.

At HQ, we are more than just a gym — we are a family that thrives on personal connection, support, and growth. Here, every individual’s journey is unique, and we provide the encouragement and guidance needed to reach personal goals.

The four quarters of HQ centre around: Training, Recovery, Nutrition and Events.

Our training space was specifically designed for Hyrox training and simulations. We are an official Hyrox Training Club gym with a 12.5 metre sled track, indoor assault runners as well as outdoor running routes and Hyrox-approved kit for every station. We run Hyrox conditioning classes which are supported by Strength and Conditioning training, personal training, nutrition guidance and rehabilitation appointments.

Our biggest achievement is our incredible members. Whether you have never set foot in a gym before or looking to smash world championships, you will receive unconditional support from the team at all times. By the time you have finished your week free trial, you will feel like you’ve been a part of our family for years.

At HQ, we know that health is about more than physical gains — it’s about mental resilience, confidence, community and a balanced life.

Training with Daisy for 6 years has brought multiple wins – not least an amazing friendship. Our remedial work ensured my weedy ankles carried me to the top of Kilimanjaro, while regressed/progressed workouts mean we are able to manage historic injuries and pinch points driven by various surgeries and countering my predominantly seated working life. Daisy has also brought my love of boxing back to the fore – a love I found 25years ago but let fall by the wayside. I’m not 21, I’m not indestructible anymore and I will feel it tomorrow… but I know Daisy is by my side and keeps me going back to the gym; keeping me as mobile as possible through menopause and the inevitability of an ageing body. Her youth belies her expertise – Daisy truly is amazing.

I retired from a physically demanding job that left me with decades old spinal/disc damage. With fitness a priority but conscious of my back, I was mindful to find a trainer who would ensure I could train hard enough, and well enough, yet still train again tomorrow – not just training once a week and needing to recover each time. For the last 3 years, Daisy has played a pivotal role in not only improving my fitness but also ensuring both remedial and complementary exercises keep me strong enough to tackle my passions of walking, cycling and climbing mountains – as well as just getting up from a seated position in a single, pain free, motion! I trust her to push me and to take care of me. One thing that cannot be understated is the energy Daisy brings to everything she does: it’s infectious! Classes are a blast, banter is upbeat and the community that pivots around her is truly, beautifully, unique.

Daisy appreciates everyone’s individuality when training. Her enthusiasm and encouragement has helped with my confidence and mobility following a car accident and modifies movements to help me still get the most out of the workout.

I’ve been seeing Daisy for a couple of years for a recurrent knee problem that was holding me back. Completely delighted with the progress, no more knee pain and much improved general fitness as a result. I can now take part in classes. Apart from her obvious expertise, Daisy brings a certain level of energy and creativity to her workouts. Always something different and never boring!
