What is Hyrox?

Hyrox is a competitive fitness race combining running with functional strength training. It’s designed to test both endurance and power – and it’s taking the fitness world by storm.

At HQ, we’re proud to offer Hyrox-focused training in Exeter, supporting both first-time participants and seasoned athletes.

What to Expect in a Hyrox Event

Each Hyrox race consists of 8 x 1km runs, each followed by a functional workout such as:

  • Ski Erg
  • Sled Push & Pull
  • Burpee Broad Jumps
  • Rowing
  • Sandbag Lunges
  • Wall Balls

It’s accessible to all fitness levels, with categories ranging from Open to Pro and Doubles.
